Good Friday marks the crucifixion and death of Christ at Calvary. It is the time when Christians mourn His suffering and death. It is also time for reflection on what this event signifies in their faith and life. Christians offer silent time, particularly between 12 noon and 3 pm in front of a crucifix. They meditate based on His seven last words through prayer, songs and sermons. Processions and/or reenactments of the crucifixion are often held in some countries worldwide. This day sometimes coincides with the Passover of the Jews.
